After a year and a half with Duggan Bertsch LLC, P. Christopher Wegner decided to leave the firm and reopen Wegner Law PLLC. Although Chris enjoyed his time at the well-respected law firm, the mid-west focused law firm was unable to provide enough capabilities or value to justify the added expenses associated with mid-sized firms.
On January 19, 2024, Chris bid farewell to Duggan Bertsch LLC and re-established the law firm he originally founded in 2010. Chris had opened Duggan Bertsch LLC’s Naples, Florida office in late 2022, hoping that the firm would provide additional capability and value to his clients. However, after about a year, the only thing the larger law firm delivered was larger bills for his clients. As a result, Chris had no choice but to leave Duggan Bertsch LLC and reopen Wegner Law PLLC.

As the Managing Attorney of Wegner Law PLLC, Chris remained personally involved in all of his clients’ matters, even while he was with the other law firm. As a result, the only changes most clients noticed were a new email address and more reasonable and flexible invoicing.
Chris continues to provide clients with a full range of transaction business and tax law advice, leveraging relationships with other regional and national law firms to provide clients with a one-stop-shop for all their legal needs.
